3 inch Hammer Range

DTH hammer M303

General purpose hammer for small hole drilling in applications such as seismic and geological survey, micro-pilling, floor, wall and roof bolting or for blast holes where environmental considerations limit hole size and blasting procedure. Suitable for drilling a wide range of air pressures in both soft and hard rock conditions.

DTH hammer DT 350

Particularly suitable for low pressure operations although capable of working between 7-24 bar (100-350 psi). Drilling diameters on 90mm to 104mm (3 1/2" - 4 3/32").

4 inch Hammer Range

DTH hammer NT4

The NT4 has been specifically designed for high production drilling in blast hole applications. The hammer is simple, robust and has few parts, making it user friendly and reliable. The NT4 utilizes the 12 spline shank which has simplistic robust geometry combined with increased drive contact area.

DTH hammer M44

The Mach 44 is a general purpose hammer used at pressures up to and including 350 psi (24 bar). It is suitable for all rock conditions at a wide range of air pressures. The Mach 44 has a proven track record of performance and reliability.

DTH hammer SD400

The SD400 is designed for maximum performance at higher pressures, up to and including 350 psi (24 bar). It is a heavy duty hammer with thicker 98mm diameter outer components to provide an extended service life in abrasive conditions and is also suitable for water well drilling.


DTH hammer Groutmaster 400

The Groutmaster 400 is designed specifically for use with grouting systems. The hammer is designed to take a drill bit fitted with a high pressure non-return valve to prevent grout entering the hammer.

5 inch Hammer Range

DTH hammer NT5

The NT5 is designed to give maximum performance in blast hole applications. The NT5 has been tuned to efficiently utilize the air supply to give optimum penetration rates. This hammer is suitable for drilling a wide range of air pressures, excelling at higher pressures. 7 inch Hammer Range

DTH hammer D750

The D750 is suitable for a wide range of air pressures, 100-350psi (7-24 bar). Drilling hole diameters of 192mm to 254mm (7 5/8" to 10"). The mining, quarrying and waterwell drilling industries will all benefit from the high reliability offered by a one piece top adaptor / air distributor. A reversible cylinder is also fitted to the D750 to prolong hammer life and reduce costs.

DTH hammer D880

The D880 is a well drilling hammer with a mid range air volume. A choice of blank, 4mm, 6mm or 8mm chokes can be fitted to provide varied air flow making the D880 a versatile hammer. The wide body diameter allows for an increased piston weight and therefore an improved performance.

DTH hammer D850

The D850 has been designed for high performance drilling in hard to medium rock formations, particularly mining applications. Its class leading performance has been achieved with a larger / heavier piston and a valveless air cycle providing a 50% increase in stroke. As well as a reversible cylinder for prolonged hammer life the D850 benefits from a QL80 shank design.

10 inch Hammer Range

DTH hammer D1000

The D1000 incorporates a unique piston design for high performance and reliability especially in water well applications. Its optimum performance is reached at air pressures of 200psi (14 bar) and above. The D1000 has a body diameter of 230mm and a piston weight of 87.6kg, one of the heaviest in its class providing excellent performance. A reversible cylinder is fitted to the hammer to prolong its life and reduce costs. "Captive" bit retaining rings and an improved 2 start thread design ensures that the D1000 is simple to service with only a few tools.

12 inch Hammer Range

DTH hammer M120

The M120 accepts A100-15 (SD12) shank bits and has a working pressure range of 170-350psi (12-24bar) while its optimum performance is reached at air pressures of 200psi (14bar) and above.

DTH hammer M122

The M122 accepts A100-15 (SD12) shank bits and drills most efficiently at air pressures between 100psi (7bar) and 170psi (12bar). Due to its higher air pressure this hammer provides increased uphole velocity particularly when using oversized diameter bits.

DTH hammer M132

The M132 hammer accepts IR DHD112 shank bits. This hammer, although capable of high pressure drilling, is particularly suitable at pressures between 100-200psi (7-14bar). This hammer has a pin drive arrangement to prevent spline to spline contact thereby minimizing spline wear and damage which can result in bit shank failure.

DTH hammer M142

The M142 hammer accepts IR DHD112S shank bits and is equipped with an oversized chuck to drill larger diameters at air pressures between  100-350psi (7-24bar). This oversize chuck protects the cylinder and prolongs life. This hammer has a pin drive arrangement to prevent spline to spline contact thereby minimizing spline wear and damage which can result in bit shank failure.

DTH hammer SD1200

The SD1200 accepts QL120 shank bit and drills most efficiently at air pressures between 100psi (7bar) and 170psi (14bar). Due to its higher air consumption this hammer provides increased uphole velocity, particularly when using oversized diameter drill bits.

DTH Bits

The drill bit is the cutting element of any DTH drilling system and a hammer is only as good as the bit it uses.

The down-the-hole bit (DTH) is subject to severe stress from the striking piston as well as from the abrasive cuttings passing around the bit at high velocity. When selecting the right bit for optimum performance you have to strike a fine balance between penetration capability and bit life. On occasion, you can successfully sacrifice the bit life expectancy for the penetration speed. In such cases remember a rule of thumb that states that a 10% increase in penetration forgoes at least a 20% of bit life expectancy.

- "Retrac" Sub Adaptors

Each adaptor is supplied with an air bleed kit including bored BSP plugs. The chart below lists the extra air volume which can be passed. The air volumes quoted are for one bored plug only.
